Refund policy
We want you to be genuinely happy with your parts. If something arrives faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, we will sort it out. This policy explains what is covered, what is not, and how to make a claim. It sits alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which we explain below.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product has a major failure you are entitled to a replacement or refund, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure is not major, you are entitled to have the problem fixed within a reasonable time, and if that is not done, to a refund.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where this policy is more generous than the law requires, the more generous terms apply.
Our 30 day returns window
On top of your legal rights, we accept returns for the following reasons within 30 days of your order being delivered:
- The item is faulty or does not work as described.
- The item arrived damaged in transit.
- You received the wrong item compared with what you ordered.
What is not covered
Because every part is dispatched individually from New Zealand, we are not able to accept change of mind returns. Please choose carefully and check fitment before you order. The following are not covered by our voluntary returns window, though your Australian Consumer Law rights always still apply:
- Change of mind, including ordering the wrong part or a part that does not fit your bike when the listing was accurate. Confirming compatibility with your make, model and year is your responsibility.
- Normal wear and tear, or damage caused by incorrect fitting, misuse, modification or an accident after delivery.
- Items that have been installed, used or altered, unless the fault was present on arrival.
If you are not sure whether a part suits your bike, email us before you buy and we will help you get it right.
How to make a claim
Contact us at support@slipstreamsupply.co.nz within 30 days of delivery. Include:
- Your order number.
- A short description of the problem.
- Clear photos of the item and, if relevant, the packaging and any damage.
Please do not send anything back before you hear from us. We will review your claim and respond within 2 business days with the next steps.
Return shipping
If the return is because an item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, we cover the cost of return shipping and will provide instructions or a label. You are never out of pocket for a mistake or a fault on our end.
Outcome of your claim
Once your claim is approved, or your returned item is received and inspected, you can choose a replacement, a full refund, or store credit, subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure, the choice of a refund or replacement is yours.
Refund timing
Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days of us approving the claim or receiving and inspecting the returned item. Refunds go back to your original payment method. Your bank or card provider may take a few extra days to show the funds.
